Acceptable use

Gearboxd is for people who love cars and bikes. Keep it that way.

Do not

• Harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or post hateful content targeting who someone is.
• Post sexual content, graphic violence, or anything involving a minor.
• Post photos you do not have the right to use.
• Spam, scam, run unsolicited advertising, or engage in fake engagement.
• Post someone's personal information — home address, phone number, workplace — including working out and sharing where a vehicle is kept.
• Encourage dangerous or illegal driving: street racing, speed runs on public roads, or evading the police.
• Scrape the site, or use bots to create accounts or content.

Spotting other people's cars

Photographing a vehicle in a public place is generally fine, and it is a big part of what this community does. Where it stops being fine is when it becomes about the owner rather than the car: do not post a vehicle on a driveway alongside the address, do not try to identify who owns something, and take a listing down if the owner asks. If you are on the other side of that, the takedown page is the fastest route.

If someone breaks these rules

Report it with the report button on the content, or email hello@gearboxd.co.uk. We may remove content, restrict an account, or ban it outright depending on what happened and whether it is a pattern.
